Greater Sage-Grouse Habitat Funds Available through NRCS

WHAT:

You could qualify to receive sage-grouse projection dollars through NRCS as part of the Greater Sage-Grouse RCPP project. Colorado Cattlemen’s Association received these dollars through a grant program focus on on-the-ground projects specific for Greater sage-grouse and these dollars must be used THIS YEAR!

WHEN:

Applications must be submitted to the local NRCS field office that service your county MUST be received by 5:00 p.m. June 15, 2018 for first period funding consideration.  The apps are availble at your local NRCS Office.

Example projects are prescribed grazing plan, invasive weed treatment, pinon juniper removal, conifer removal, soil erosion mitigation, water development, anthropogenic disturbance removal (road closure, etc.)

WHERE:

There are over $500,000 that must be spent in NW Colorado.  No project is too small or too big and I would highly encourage you to pursue project funding!
